Description

The City is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers for the supply and delivery of automatic wastewater samplers to support Environmental Services' wastewater monitoring and sampling activities. The procurement is intended to replace existing automatic wastewater samplers that are approaching the end of their anticipated service life and to provide reliable equipment capable of collecting representative composite wastewater samples during routine operations and wet weather bypass events. Existing Equipment and Intended Replacement The City currently utilizes automatic wastewater samplers that were purchased in 2021. These units are approaching their anticipated end of service life and this procurement is intended to provide replacement equipment. The City has experienced unexpected sampler failures that have resulted in inadequate or unrepresentative samples and additional staff effort to support the sampling program. Accordingly, reliability, durability and serviceability of the proposed equipment are important considerations for the City. Potential for multiple units The City may purchase multiple automatic wastewater samplers during the term of the resulting agreement. Quantities identified in the RFP are estimates only, and the City does not guarantee any minimum quantity unless expressly stated otherwise.
