Create free accountIn order to support the Office of Reconsideration to provide an administrative recourse mechanism to marine workers who have applied for a Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) under the Marine Transportation Security Clearance Program (MTSCP) and who have been denied, or who have had their TSC cancelled, a Task Authorization-based contract will be awarded to a Contractor on an “as and when requested” basis. The ISA will review all relevant information on file and follow up with the applicant to seek out more information, if required. Upon completing the review, the ISA will prepare a report to send to the OoR with a summary of facts and analysis, as well as their recommendation on the reconsideration and the supporting rationale. This recommendation to the Minister’s Delegate at Transport Canada (TC) will be to either maintain the original decision or to reconsider it. The ISA does not make the decision on whether to grant or deny a security clearance.
