Description

This document cancels and supersedes previous bid solicitation number K8A45-160866/A dated 2 March 2016 with a closing of 11 April 2016 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. As the technical evaluation was not completed, no debriefing or feedback session will be provided to suppliers who bid on the previous solicitation. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is seeking high quality chemical analysis of a number of substances in raw influent, final effluent, raw sludge and treated biosolids from selected wastewater treatment plants across Canada as part of a monitoring program on the occurrence and fate of chemical substances in municipal wastewater. Many chemical substances enter the aquatic and terrestrial environment via effluent discharges and land application of biosolids from Canadian wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). ECCC developed a monitoring program to determine the occurrence and fate of these substances during the wastewater treatment process. This program requires high-quality chemical analysis of many chemical substances that may be present at trace levels in wastewater raw influent, treated effluent, raw sludge, and treated biosolids. The results of this program contribute to sound decisions on the assessment and management of chemical substances in Canada. Services will be delivered to Burlington, Ontario. The period of the contract will be from date of contract award to 31 March 2018 inclusive. This Letter of Interest (LOI) seeks information from industry on its interest, capacity and ability to complete analytical testing of Canadian Municipal Wastewater and Sludges / Biosolids; and to provide industry with the opportunity to give feedback on the procurement strategy.
