RISO Offloading Systems - Various, NL

Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement to issue a Standing Offer for the ongoing maintenance and repair of wharf-based off-loading systems (jib cranes), used for the lifting of catch from vessels to wharves. This standing offer is to provide support for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to continue the ongoing servicing of the jib cranes in the Newfoundland Labrador Region. The province will be divided into regions and contractors can bid on any or all regions.

The term of this Standing Offer is for two (2) years, on an "as and when required basis. A standing offer is an agreement and not a contract. The Crown reserves the right to award to more than one contractor.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS Bidders must refer to the Safety Requirements in the specification before performing any site inspection or preliminary work on site.

Pursuant to section 01, Integrity Provisions of Standard Instructions 2006, Bidders must submit a complete list of names of all individuals who are currently directors of the Bidder. Furthermore, as determined by the Special Investigations Directorate, Departmental Oversight Branch, each individual named on the list may be requested to complete a Consent to a Criminal Record Verification form and related documentation.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO SUPPLIERS: Effective June 1, 2013, Federal government tenders (tender notices and bid solicitation documents) will be published and available free of charge on a Government of Canada Web site on Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. The Government Electronic Tendering Service on Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders will be the sole authoritative source for Government of Canada tenders that are subject to trade agreements or subject to departmental policies that require public advertising of tenders. Get more details in the Frequently Asked Questions section of Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of tender forms and special instructions which are now available directly from the web site www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the tender authority of their intention to bid.

Addenda, when issued, will be available on the Government of Canada web site www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that all addenda issued prior to tender closing have been obtained and addressed in the submitted tender.

Standard terms and conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of, the tender and contract documents. The standard Public Works and Government Services Canada documents may be viewed at https://buyandsell.gc.ca/policy-and-guidelines/standard-acquisiti on-clauses-and-conditions-manual/all.
