Scope of Work This requirement is for the rehabilitation of the West Pier and Commercial Fishing Basin at Port Dover Harbour, located in Norfolk County, on the north shore of Lake Erie, south of Hamilton. The work involves repairs to the existing steel sheet pile West Pier and repairs to the concrete parapet for both the WestPier and Commercial Fishing Basin.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT An Optional site visit will be held on August 24, 2016 at 1:00PM Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Interested contractors who wish to attend are required to give notice in writing with names of attendants by 1:00PM on August 23, 2016. Please contact the Contracting Officer, Bob Hassell at (416)-590-8270 and email bob.hassell@pwgsc.gc.ca to confirm attendance. Bidders are to meet at the site, Port Dover West Pier (end ofHarbour St), Port Dover, ON Bidders will be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
The duration of work is 23 weeks.Due to operational requirements at the harbours, on-site work cannot commence until mid-Octoberfor Port Dover.
