PRE-IDENTIFIED SUPPLIER : Chubb Edwards 4045 26th Avenue Lethbridge AB T1H 6G2 STANDING OFFER PERIOD : The standing offer will be for a four (4) year period from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2022. ESTIMATED VALUE :  $200,000.00 (plus applicable taxes) SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION : AAFC Lethbridge Research and Development Centre’s existing fire alarm system is an Edwards EST3 system. Chubb Edwards is currently the sole authorized distributor of Edwards Certified Products to the Canadian market. Certified Products are those which require successful completion of the manufacturer training courses prior to receiving the materials and software required for installation and maintenance. Other accountabilities managed by certified product distributors are software compliance updates and recall processing. Currently, Chubb Edwards is the only holder of the latest version of licensed software & firmware components for Edwards products in Canada. Although other suppliers can repair the system, application of program changes and software updates by any third party would be in violation ULC code as per “ULC Certification Bulletin 2003-05 Regarding Access” and would not be supported by Edwards. Therefore Chubb Edwards is the only supplier that can provide the software maintenance and updates to AAFC’s existing equipment as required. SUBMISSION OF STATEMENT OF CAPABILITIES CLOSING DATE AND TIME : The closing date and time for accepting Statement of Capabilities is March 22, 2019 @ 2:00 pm CST Suppliers who consider themselves fully qualified and available to provide the goods, services or construction services described in the ACAN, may submit a statement of capabilities in writing to the contact person identified in this notice on or before the closing date of this notice.
